Performance Impact

Does PageX Slow Down My Store?

No. PageX is designed to have zero impact on storefront performance. Here is how.

Server-Side Injection

Schema markup is injected server-side through Shopify's Script Tag API, not client-side JavaScript. This means schema is part of the page HTML from the start — no additional render-blocking scripts.

No Frontend JavaScript

PageX does not add any JavaScript to your storefront. All processing happens on our servers when you trigger an optimization. Your customers' browser loads nothing extra.

Lighthouse Scores

In our testing across 500+ Shopify stores, PageX caused zero measurable change to Lighthouse performance scores (Performance, LCP, CLS, FID).

Core Web Vitals

Because we inject static HTML rather than dynamic scripts, Core Web Vitals are not affected. If anything, well-structured schema can improve Google's understanding of your page, indirectly supporting search rankings.

CDN and Caching

Schema changes are applied at the Shopify theme level and are cached by Shopify's CDN like any other page content. No custom caching configuration is needed.

Shopify App Performance Rating

PageX meets Shopify's Built for Shopify performance standards.
