Page Selection Rules

3 min readLast updated: February 2026

How Page Selection Works

PageX lets you define which pages receive optimization. By default, all products, collections, and pages are included.

Page Types

You can enable or disable optimization per page type:

  • **Products** - Individual product pages (highest impact, enabled by default)
  • **Collections** - Category/collection pages
  • **Pages** - Static pages (About, FAQ, etc.)
  • **Blog Posts** - Articles and guides
  • **Home Page** - Your store homepage

Rule-Based Selection

Set rules to include or exclude pages based on:

  • URL pattern (e.g., all URLs containing "/sale/")
  • Collection membership
  • Product tag
  • Metafield value

Priority Pages

Mark specific pages as priority to ensure they are always optimized first when page limits are reached.

Free Plan Limits

On the Free plan, only 10 pages can be optimized. PageX automatically selects your highest-traffic pages unless you specify otherwise.
