Filing dates

What is due this month, and what it is.

Below is every government filing date for the current month and the next three, in plain words. This is the calendar for a business filing GST every month.

If you file GST every quarter, you have fewer dates than this list. Message us and we tell you your own dates on day one.

Questions

About filing dates.

I file GST quarterly. Which dates are mine?

Fewer than this page shows. You file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B once a quarter, not every month. They are due on the 13th and the 22nd or 24th of the month after the quarter ends. You still pay GST in the first two months of the quarter, using a form called PMT-06. Message us and we send you the exact dates for your business.

I am a proprietor with no staff. What applies to me?

Your GST dates if you are registered for GST, and your advance tax dates if your tax for the year crosses ₹10,000. The PF, ESI and TDS-on-salary dates apply once you have staff. Company filings like AOC-4 and MGT-7 do not apply to a proprietorship at all.

What happens if I miss one?

A GST return charges a late fee for every day it stays unfiled, plus interest on any tax paid late. AOC-4 and MGT-7 at the Ministry of Corporate Affairs charge ₹100 a day per form, with no upper limit. Income tax carries its own interest on tax paid after the date. If a date is late because of us, that month is free, and we pay the late fee our delay caused.

Do these dates change?

Yes. The government moves some of these dates by notification, often close to the date itself. We check the current position every month before we tell you yours.
